The Board of Professor Wacław Szybalski Foundation together with the Editorial Board of Acta Biochimica Polonica (ABP), represented by the Chief Editor, have taken the initiative to prepare a special issue of ABP, celebrating the 100th birthday anniversary of Professor W. Szybalski (9th September 2021) who passed away lately at the age of 99 on 16th December 2020. We would like the special issue to be published in September this year (as the 3rd issue in 2021).
Manuscripts should be sent to the editor by 1st June 2021. All manuscripts will be subject to the standard review procedure.
As ABP is an 'open access' journal, indexed in JCR (Impact Factor for 2019 is: 1.42) its publications are usually author-paid. However, publications intended for publishing in this issue, which will successfully pass the "peer review" procedure, will be published free of charge. We would like to publish works of scientists who either had known Professor, collaborated with him or based their research on his scientific achievements or referred to them. We would like this volume to contain at least 20 articles.
